Emmaty Metal Roofing is made of Galvalume® steel and is coated with stone granules adhered with acrylic polymer adhesives. As a result, the roofing system is lightweight (1.5 lbs/sq. ft.), durable, and cost-effective, with the superior strength of steel and is ideal for new construction, re-roofing, and storm-damage applications. At the end of its life on the roof, Emmaty Metal Roof is also 100% recyclable.
Emmaty Metal Roofing's natural appearance complements homes of all architectural styles, from Mediterranean to Contemporary and Transitional. The material is available in a wide range of profiles and colors, satisfying even the most discerning homeowners. Our options mimic traditional shake, slate, tile, and shingle roofing.
Emmaty Metal Roofing is one of the best materials available for withstanding devastating hailstorms, with the highest UL-listed, Class 4 UL impact rating.
Emmaty Metal Roofing panels have been shown to withstand wind speeds in excess of 120 miles per hour when properly fastened, making the roofing solution ideal in high-wind areas.
The metal composition allows it to carry significantly more weight due to snow loads than other roofing options. Because of the stone coating, snow does not slide off a Emmaty Metal Roof, as is common with other standing-seam metal roofs. Snow melts slowly on a stone coated metal roof into the gutter system, providing peace of mind and with a safer roof perimeter.
These roof systems have a "above sheathing ventilated" (ASV) space that runs the length of the roof deck. This horizontal and vertical air space allows for above-the-deck air flow and insulation, which helps to reduce ice damming and icicle formation issues that are common in the Northeast.
According to our ASTM-E108 testing results, Emmaty Metal Roofing also helps protect structures from fire spread. When combined with specific underlayment materials, our metal roofing system achieves a Class-A fire rating, providing additional protection from wind-driven embers, which are common during urban firestorms.
